My experience over 45 years and in almost 200 trials taught me to eliminate the nonsense. I avoid the “paper war” mentality of many attorneys because I know what I can use during trial and what the rules exclude. I do not waste time on unproductive skirmishes.

In 1996 I spent 30 days in Wyoming at Gerry Spence’s ranch with Roy Black, Al Krieger, Racehorse Haynes and other eminent attorneys learning how to try cases “for the people.”
